Opioid Treatment Program
Individuals who are addicted to opiates often face special challenges in the recovery process. Because of the effect opiates have on brain functioning, pharmacological assistance sometimes offers the best path to living a healthy, clean and sober lifestyle. Methadone, the most widely used and studied treatment for opiate addiction, has been identified as the single most effective treatment for opiate addicts. The SASI Division of CCRS provides the area’s only methadone maintenance treatment program at the 12th Street location. It is one of only nine regional methadone clinics in Ohio. The program is medically managed and is certified by the State of Ohio. Daily doses of methadone are dispensed and outpatient aftercare programs are offered on-site.
Methadone maintenance can provide a short-term bridge into recovery, or be a life-long tool to manage recovery from addiction to any kind of opiate including street and prescription drugs. It offers an affordable and healthy alternative to using.
